| Lombok South Coast development back in the spotlight UNITED Arab Emirates investors are showing renewed interest in developing prime Lombok Tourist Development Corporation land near Kute, Central Lombok, on the spectacular Indian Ocean south coast of the island. The 1,175-hectare holding, just east of the Novotel resort hotel property at Putri Nyale Beach, is now the subject of a pre-development audit.The UAE investor, PT. Emaar, has asked the provincial government of West Nusa Tenggara (Lombok and the island of Sumbawa) for the audit. An asset organising company will carry out the work. Interest in developing Lombok's south coast area has risen because the proposed new international airport, near Praya, will make tourist travel to the region much easier and swifter than from the existing airport at Mataram. |
